Are you one of the millions of people across the U.S. that has a pit bull type dog? Do you and dog live peacefully in your community? Is your pit bull type dog a loving member of your family? YES? Then you are the RULE not the exception. You are part of the MAJORITY.
Everyday people are pit bull type dog owners. Teachers, artists, dog trainers, cashiers, nurses, retired police officers, lawyers, military men and women, even college students are all part of the MAJORITY. Grandparents, neighbors, friends, big families and small families are all part of the MAJORITY.
The Majority Project was started in 2012 by the http://Animal Farm Foundation. The goal is to change the false belief that ‘good’ people don’t live with pit bull type dogs. It is believed that only criminals and ‘bad’ people want to have pit bull type dogs. This false belief has led to discriminatory policies against pit bull type dogs.
The Majority Project is basically a collection of photos sent in from all over the country. The photos are of every day people…. every day FAMILIES, with their pit bull type dogs.
As you can see, anybody can be a pit bull type dog owner. Race, occupation, financial status, and marital status doesn’t matter.
